The NASP Graduate Education Committee has partnered with APA Division 2 to provide a syllabus peer review and posting of approved syllabi to their webpages in the development of a syllabus-sharing project. We would like to invite our international colleagues to take advantage of this opportunity and encourage your participation. Click here for more information or see the specific steps outlined below.
The following provides directions for submitting a syllabus for review and online posting by both APA Division II and the NASP Graduate Education Committee. Final syllabus will be posted on the NASP Graduate Educators webpage. APA Division II must first approve all syllabi. Next, the NASP Graduate Education Committee will complete a second review, specifically evaluating
the syllabus’ linkage to National Standards and program goals.
Steps to Follow:
1. Visit APA Division II’s website for Project Syllabus Description:
• Guidelines for preparing a syllabus for submission and review criteria are posted at this address.
• Syllabi are then submitted for a peer review and possible inclusion to Dr. Amy Hunter (Associate Director of the Syllabus Project), as outlined on the website.
2. After a syllabus is approved from APA Division II, Division II will send all approved syllabi for school psychology courses to Dr. Kasee Stratton for further peer review. Specifically the NASP Graduate Education Committee will evaluate the syllabus’ linkage to National Standards and/or program goals. See the attached Rubric.
3. Following the NASP Graduate Educators Committee review, faculty will be notified of acceptance/revision/rejection.
