The Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto (OISE) invites applications for a tenure-stream appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor commencing July 1, 2015, in the Department of Applied Psychology and Human Development. OISE is particularly interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of their scholarly community through research, teaching and service.
OISE seeks applicants with expertise in school and/or child clinical psychology. They especially welcome applications from candidates who have a background and research interests in the area of school psychology, broadly defined. The successful candidate will have received his or her Ph.D. by the date of appointment or shortly thereafter. Candidates should be outstanding scholars as evidenced by their areas of research, funding and publication records, and their collaborations. The successful candidates will contribute primarily to the School and Child Clinical Psychology (SCCP) program, which is the only Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) accredited doctoral program that explicitly provides combined professional training in school and clinical child psychology. Based on the scientist-practitioner framework, its mission is to provide graduate students with theoretical, research, and professional training in preparation for leadership positions in academic and applied settings.
