The Drs. Rosalee G. and Raymond A. Weiss Research and Program Innovation Grants: $1,000

The Weiss Research and Program Innovation Grants seek to seed innovation through supporting research, education and intervention projects and programs that use psychology to solve social problems in the following priority areas:
– Applying psychology to at-risk, vulnerable populations (e.g. serious mental illness, returning military, those who are incarcerated or economically disadvantaged);
– Preventing violence;
– Understanding the connection between behavior and health (e.g. wellness, diabetes, obesity);
-Understanding and eliminating stigma and prejudice (e.g. race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability and socioeconomic status).

APF/ Division 39 Grant: $6,000
New due date: September 15, 2020
$6,000 to support efforts in education, research and service that advance and encourage the field of psychoanalysis. The Div. 39 grant now focuses on programs or projects that increase the public’s awareness of the benefits of psychoanalytic principles or treatments. Special consideration will be given this year to projects on the twin pandemics of racism and COVID-19.

Steven O. Walfish Grants: $2,000

Up to two $2,000 grants are available to graduate students and/or early career psychologists (within 10 years of earning the doctoral degree).

Scott and Paul Pearsall Grant: $10,000
Due October 1, 2020
The Scott and Paul Pearsall Grant supports graduate and early career work that seeks to increase the public’s understanding of the psychological pain and stigma experienced by adults living with visible physical disabilities, such as cerebral palsy.

Div. 54 Lizette Peterson-Homer Injury Prevention Grant: $5,000

$5,000 for research on the prevention of injuries in children and adolescents through accidents, violence, abuse or suicide.
