Hi ISPA colleagues, I’m a 2nd year student in a US-based graduate program: EdS in School Psychology, but I live in Malaysia. Part of this phase of my program is to participate in practicum. I also need to have professional indemnity/liability insurance while doing so. For the past several weeks I’ve been trying to find an insurance provider for my situation. There are of course the US-based options through NASP etc, but those are only valid in the US. In order to buy a policy locally in Malaysia, they expect the insured to be licensed since I guess interns in their clinical psych programs don’t have insurance??? I’m not sure. Anyway, if you know ANYTHING at all about getting individual insurance while practicing globally, please reply and let me know. Thanks! – Emy
