ISPA Accepted as an Affiliate of IUPsyS
The International Union of Psychological Science IUPsyS generally is seen as the most prestigious international association of psychology. It works to promote the development, representation, and advancement of psychology as a basic and applied science nationally, regionally, and internationally.
IUPsyS membership consists of approximately 80 national organizations of psychology or national academies of science, one per country. Thus, its members represent almost all psychologists internationally—an estimated one million. Additionally, some regional and international individual member organizations have Affiliate Status.
ISPA was accepted as an Affiliate Organization at IUPsyS’ 2012 meeting in Cape Town, South Africa. Its acceptance signifies IUPsyS’ acknowledgement of the important roles played by our association and its desire to establish an affiliation that leads to mutual and lasting benefits for psychology.
