We are very pleased to announce that the 40th ISPA Conference will be held from July 25 to 28, 2018 at the Tokyo Seitoku University in Tokyo, Japan.
The theme of the conference will be: Promoting Resilience for Children Toward Life-Long Happiness.
The conference theme reflects the situation of all children, teachers and other professionals, recovering from difficulties stemming from natural disasters, personal issues, and more. The main topics will be:
- Working with children who experience mental health issues
- Supporting schools, families and children in times of crisis
- Developing strategies to combat academic underachievement
- Helping schools to become safe and effective learning environments
- Promoting inclusivity in diverse communities
- Training psychologists and other professionals to become effective practitioners
- Supporting children and school personnel in and on recovery from school crisis
The keynote speakers will be:
- Dr. William Pfohl, professor at Western Kentuckyy University, USA
- Dr. Bonnie Nastasi, professor at Tulane University, USA
- Dr. Toshinori Ishikuma, professor at Tokyo Seitoku University, Japan
